General Information

Supply chain management is unique and, to some degree, represents a paradox because it is concerned with one of the oldest and also the most newly discovered activities of business. Supply chain system activities –production, inventory management, warehousing, and transportation have been performed since the start of commercial activity. It is difficult to visualize any product that could reach a customer without a corresponding supply chain. Yet it is only over the last few years that firms have started focusing on supply chain management as a source of competitive advantage. In industry it has become a widely accepted understanding that a company’s performance is hugely impacted by its supply chain performance. This becomes even more important given constantly decreasing product life cycles, pervasive SKU proliferation and fierce competition. Supply chain management today represents a great challenge as well as a tremendous opportunity for most firms.

In an increasingly globalized economy, more and more production is outsourced. This means that innovative supply chain management is the key to commercial survival. This program meets the growing demand for supply chain management experts who have a deep understanding of the role of innovation in business success. This master degree program is a multi-disciplinary combination of supply chain management, innovation and entrepreneurship. The knowledge and skills you gain will give you the edge when it comes to setting up your own business. You will also be perfectly positioned to manage the strategic change projects in the supply chains of global organizations that will put them ahead of the competition. This program provides graduates with an advanced understanding of principles, practice and skills in the areas of international supply chain management for a career in manufacturing, distribution and related industries. It also provides students with the opportunity to develop and apply those skills through the integration and application of knowledge to examine and evaluate case studies.
